Management is the process of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the resources of an organization to achieve its objectives. Management can be broken down into a series of four steps. First, you must determine what your company’s goal is – this step entails asking what your company wants to do or where it wants to go in the future. Next, you need to find out how management should accomplish that goal by establishing goals for your employees such as how much they should produce or how many customers they should attract. Then you need to figure out how you’re going to measure progress towards those goals so that you know when it’s time for your employees to make adjustments to their methods. Finally, when everything goes well and the desired outcomes are being met, then congratulations! You’ve achieved success as a manager!
